Aston Martin Valkyrie THOR Team 14° Le Mans 2025

When Aston Martin unveiled its Valkyrie in 2016, the entire racing scene waited with bated breath for a racing version of the V12-powered supercar. In 2025, the wait was finally over. With the Valkyrie LM, the British sports car manufacturer announced its intention to compete in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. This marked a perfect return to the top class. Two of the breathtaking racing cars were sent to the starting line for the opening round of the FIA WEC season in Qatar, but they had to learn the ropes there and in the following two races. In mid-June, the highlight of the season was already on the agenda in Le Mans. After qualifying, the two Valkyries were not exactly in the positions they had hoped for, finishing 15th and 20th. However, the Cosworth V12 cars showed their strength in terms of durability and completed lap after lap without any major failures. At the end of the 24 hours, both Aston Martin THOR Team cars finished solidly in the midfield. Certainly no reason to celebrate, as the gap to the top manufacturers was clearly evident. Nevertheless, the Le Mans debut was a successful first endurance test for the Brits.
