BMW M4 GT3 EVO ROWE Racing winner 24H Nürburgring 2025

280,000 spectators at the Green Hell Nordschleife, 30 degrees centigrade in the shade and a race interruption due to a major power failure made the first big headlines at the 53rd edition of the 24-hour battle at the Nürburgring in 2025. But the real bang came at the end of the race. After some of the favourites had retired early after crashes or technical problems, the battle for victory soon boiled down to a duel between the #911 Manthey Grello Porsche and the #98 Rowe BMW M4 GT3. The final showdown between Kevin Estre and Kelvin van der Linde made fans jump out of their grandstand seats or camping chairs. That was nail biting racing at its very best. After 100 laps, the two combatants had caught up with one of the Dörr Aston Martin. Kevin Estre slightly touched the Aston while attempting to overtake and sent it into the crash barriers. The BMW directly behind missed the skidding wreck only by a hair's breadth. The race directors took their time with their assessment, but shortly before the end of the race they imposed a 1:40 minute penalty on the Grello Porsche, which finished first but was only classified second due to the time penalty. The winners of 2025 were Kelvin van der Linde, Augusto Farfus, Raffaele Marciello and Jesse Krohn. It was a race final that will long be remembered.
